Traditionally known as Mhendi, Henna has been used in India for wedding and birthing ceremonies for thousands of years, for good luck and well being. We use only the finest quality Moroccan henna. It is safe for the skin and lasts from one to four weeks.

In more recent years it has become popular for pregnant women to have henna painted on the belly in the months before labor. In ancient cultures it is still believed that painting henna in the third trimester will bring good luck to the mother and child and help protect them during the birthing process. Henna is also a wonderful way to soothe and relax an expectant mother.

Henna has been used for centuries, in countries such as Morocco, Yemen and India, for its healing properties. It has been known to work best as an antiviral, a sunscreen and for the treatment of burns. However, I believe that henna can heal in ways yet unknown to us, on deeper levels than just the physical. So it is often my intention, when applying henna, to focus on sending all of its wonderful healing traits to each person that I touch.
